Well I can only speak with any authority about Northern Ireland, and indeed County Antrim, but here it is…charity shops are gold mines for Christian and theology books!
Yes folks, you can thank me for this when we meet sometime. Here is the list to date of some of the fine books that have been found by myself, but especially my wife in the last couple of months, and here’s the best bit, 4 for a pound is typical, 50p each is extravagant.
Let’s start with today.
Whatever Happened to the Gospel of Grace, James Montgomery Boice, pristine condition – 50p.
No Other God, A Response to Open Theism, John Frame, pristine – 50p.
Bible Guidelines, Derek Prime, good condition, old – 50p.
The Lie: Evolution, Ken Ham – 50p
Here’s some from previous hunts over the last few weeks, all 25p:
The Passion of Christ – Piper; Five Christian Leaders – Ryle; The Lord’s Prayer – Derek Prime; String of Pearls – Richard Brooks; Walk Worthy – Peter Jeffery.
One’s we gave away – Machen – Introduction to New Testament, and God Transcendent (today). Packer’s, Knowing God.
I have not listed the many “women’s” books my wife has obtained as well; Elisabeth Eliot etc.
So there you have it, go hunting guys.
PS. Library Sales are worth checking out as well.

Erm – can I just say that I went to a local charity shop yesterday and certain people must have cleared it of all the good books!!
